Claire Lyle is a painter, poet, and performance artist primarily concerned with the figure and the portrait. While engaging in multiple mediums, Lyle focuses on a particular aspect of each one: the physicality of paint, the enigma of poetry, and the immediate and otherworldly quality of performance. Her subjects are both autobiographical and universal; her own self used as a starting point for more expansive concepts.
Born and raised in Southern California, Lyle is currently attending California State Univerisity, Fullerton to study Studio Arts with a concentration in Drawing and Painting, and Art History.
